The University of Asia and the Pacific’s (UA&P) Tambuli Awards sounded off on the best advertising that also brings out the best in societal values. This year saw triumph for not just Philippine advertising, but for regional advertising as well.It was more international than ever.

The past 8th and 9th of June the UA&P celebrated a new edition in which participated international agencies from Vietnam, Tailandia, India and Malaysia.

Those who came away with the few gold Tambulis were DM9 JaymeSyfu's iVow "Bruise" Campaign for Gabriela for Best Small Budget Brand Campaign, Lowe & Partners Malaysia's "World's First Autistic Choir" for Kidzcare for the new Best Advocacy Campaign category, and Publicis JimenezBasic's "Pregnant Pause" for Monde Nissin Corporation for Family-oriented Brand Campaign. The premiere CMO of the Year award went to Margot Torres, VP for Marketing at McDonald’s Philippines. She said in her acceptance speech, where she also shared some of McDonald’s succeses in values-formation especially under the wing of McDonald’s House Charities. “As marketing people, it is our duty to help shape the values of the country.”
